Conferences

Conferences are a huge part of FFA and a great way to become more involved. Attending conferences is also another way to gain more knowledge about agriculture and learn about careers involving agriculture. Colleges from around the country also attend the conferences so that students who have an interest to pursue a life in agriculture have a way to learn more about colleges and careers.

There are plenty of different conferences throughout the year so make sure to look for updates.

Contests

Find out more about our judging and leadership teams. The teams are a great way for students to be involved in out FFA program and they teach leadership, responsibility, and time-management skills.

Judging teams help students to learn more about agriculture and what skills it requires.

Leadership teams prepare students for real life by teaching them public speaking and making them more comfortable talking in front of others.

Find our contest dates in our calendar of events.

Leadership points are a big part of our FFA department. The points are 15% of students' grades so it is really important to stay on top of your points. All opportunites to earn FFA points for this semester are listed under Leadership Points.

Livestock

Livestock is a very important part of FFA and SAE projects. Livestock builds many skills that will help you the future including time management, responsibility, and working with others. This SAE also requires a great amount of commitment and flexibility because you are required to be at the farm twice every day. Responsibilities include feeding your animal twice every day, clean its pen, and exercise your animal.

The species we offer are goats, lambs, swine, rabbits, chickens, and turkeys.

Newsletter

Our chapter newsletter is meant to let our members know about events that have already happened but also upcoming events. Our goal is to have our members become more active by seeing what is going on in the FFA by reading articles written by their fellow classmates. The articles featured in the newsletter are written by our very own FFA members who were involved in the event. FFA member are also able to share their own idea articles and they could be published in our chapter newsletter.

Pictures

Every year, a slideshow is put together for our FFA Banquet. The slideshow includes pictures from every single event that out chapter hosts or attends including fair, field days, chapter meetings, conferences, etc. Here, you can submit photos from any FFA event the Escondido FFA was apart of this past year.
